Featuring Some of the Earliest Pioneers of the Field

As 2023 is the 20th anniversary of what used to be called the IEEE International Conference on Group IV Photonics, or GFP for short, we have asked some of the pioneers of the field to speak at this special session. We have asked them to tell us about their recollection of the early years of silicon photonics, how their early work influenced their careers and their recent work, and what they see as the future of Silicon Photonics technology.
